With the increasing importance of software, it is vital that its quality is assured. This depends on attributes such as maintainability (the amount of code to be sustained), reliability (each line can contain defects) and security (with increased importance due to more interest by hackers). In this matter, testing has a fundamental role to ensure that the software is operational and safe under all conditions. In this presentation, Benjamin Jurg will talk about this question and introduce some testing techniques to help code be more maintainable, reliable and secure, so testers can focus on other critical product quality characteristics like usability and functional suitability. Benjamin Jurg Benjamin Jurg is the Chief Quality Officer of TIOBE, where he is responsible for both process improvement within the organization as well as supporting customers with maximally utilizing TiCS for their software quality improvements. Having graduated in Mathematics at the Technical University of Eindhoven, he developed a career in both product and process quality, with a focus on software quality. Over time he stepped into the business side which led him to join TIOBE in 2021, where he is working today.
